A Members’ Voluntary Liquidation is a method of winding up a solvent Company which has either served its purpose or whose Directors want to retire. They are also a tax efficient method of releasing equity to Members as all dividends distributed from Company’s are taxed at 20% CGT as opposed to bearing a PAYE / PRSI burden if they are drawn by way of salary.
